Eating Healthy - Zits and Horrible Gas!!

I’ve been eating healthy for about two weeks now - lots of fruits and veggies, cutting processed foods almost completely out of the menu, eating around 1200 calories a day, exercise 3 times a week.
I have noticed in the last two weeks that I have started getting a lot of zits on my skin. I have never been prone to acne, so I originally thought it was because I was sweating more - but no matter how often I wash my face, the zits stay, or come back. Is this a skin detox, or can you recommend a face wash that you use after workouts that kills the sweat from clogging your pores?
More importantly, in the last week, I’ve noticed CONSIDERABLE gas all the time, and lots of softer stools. It’s not in the stomach, its in the lower intestines and colon - lots of gas pain, lots of stinky gas, lots of soft stools (daily at least). I woke up in the middle of the night with the horrible gas pains that wrack my body.
Is this normal? Will it go away? is there something I should be eating or a supplement I should take to combat this?

I had the same problem and i found two solutions. For the acne one i was the same way getting zits on my back arms everything, when i hadnt even gotten them on my face before, i started working out with a new friend who sits in the sauna after her workouts and then takes a super cold shower the combination opens up yours pores clears them out and then rinses them out if that makes sense, anyways my skin has neverrr looked better. And as far as the gas thing goes i had my doctor put me on a probiotic, they are expensive but you can buy them over the counter too anything like philips colon health take one a day, not 100% improving because think about what your eating, roots and ruffage basically but it really helped!0

Your body will adjust over time. I drink peppermint tea to help with gas, just be careful if you are prone to acid reflux.0

Its hard to suggest anything since we cant see your diet. I myself have struggled with the gassyness and pain and yes acne. I thing possibly unrelated. I discovered these things by trial and error, and using elimination diets(doctor monitored) I highly reccomend seeing your doctor first off to find out the best way to determine what is causing your problems. for me it was all diet. Here is what I found for myself.
1. I discovered that I get super gassy from the folowing foods(no Im not a celiac sufferer) - wheat, whole wheat in particular. so that means whole wheat or whole grain breads, pasta etc, just do me in. I can have a little but not every day and only once a day but never more than one day in a row. There are some wonderful wheat free breads and pastas out there but those in moderation too.
2. cuciferous veggies suck! broccli, cauliflour etc, yes they are good for you and are yummy but in small doses mixed with other things. I love them but they dont love me so I am mindful to eat them in small quantiites.
3. cabbage, green peppers(yes only the green ones) brussel sprouts, beans (all beans except green and yellow wax for some reason) set me off too. I follow the same rules as with wheat for these.
4. under no circumstances can I eat Oatmeal, rolled oats, steel cut otas, granola containin oats, oat cereal and so on. Oats are the WORST for me, I will bloat up within an hour or two of consuming. i just dont eat it, not worth it. ever. NEVER ever.
As for acne, there are many causes and "cures" diet and excercise change can cause skin changes too. everyone is different but her is what worked for me I eat 1-2 grapefruits a day, cantaloupe, blueberries, kiwi and/or oranges. the high natual vitamin C seems to make my skin glow and keep the adult acne at bay. the only other advice I have for this is to watch what you drink. caffiene, artificial sweetners and high sugar drinks can cause havock with my skin. but again trial and error. I was amazed when I started drinking lemon water and eating more citrus fruit how quickly my skin cleared up.0 -

peppermint tea! this is true, it also helps with water retention too. try it cold in the summer with ice and a slice of lemon or lime in it. yum (no sugar added its not needed)0
