Hey,

I've been here for about five months now...not really trying to lose weight but to keep track of my calories. MFP puts me at 1350 calories/day and I go over EVERY SINGLE DAY. It is frustrating and I am thinking about quitting...or not logging in my calories. I don't know...anyone else felt this way? Like I said, I am not trying to lose weight, but stay healthy and not eat those "bad calories"...???:frown: What do I do? I say to myself every single day that I will do better and make better choices, but by the end of the day, I end up over in my calories and it is killing me...Any suggestions? Thanx!

Plan your meals ahead of time.

1350 is a bit low for maintenance ... how did you get that number? And if you're doing P90X still, you should be getting 1600 minimum.

Thanks for the reply...I will go in and manually change my goals (1350 according to my fitness pal in order to maintain my weight). 1600 minimum with P90X you say? And, yes, that is what I'm doing for my workouts. Thanks for the feedback!

It seem a little low to me too!

What is the alternative? I stopped weighing and stopped counting and here I am now, with a nountain to move, I think I may have to count forever.

I do think planning ahead of time really helps me stay on track.

You might need a shake up to get you motivated, maybe satting a new goal, like a race to run or even something a simple as making sure you drink 6 glasses of water before lunch.

Hope you sort it out, don't give up, and check out your bmr to makesure you are getting enough to maintain. Good luck:wink:

If you're not gaining, then what you're doing seems to be working for ya.

1600 is the minimum to lose weight actually. It's more if you want to maintain weight. Try this site:
    http://teambeachbody.com/eat-smart/nutrition-tools/caloric-needs

If you enter your age, height, and weight there and pick P90X for the workout, it will tell you how much you need to maintain weight. If you can't set up an account, you can message me those things and I'll look it up for you.

I always input my food into the system before eating. I'm on a 1200 calorie day and that's the only way I find I can keep in or under that. It has worked great for me as I've lost 21 pounds since joining Apr 22.
    Good luck.

Something is off about your numbers.. I'd suggest checking all your information (height, weight, etc) , lifestyle, & goals for errors. I'm set for 2lb loss every week & get 1200 cals a day so there's no way your maintenance calories couuld be 1200. That's insane
