Hello
I am a newbi, and sadly I have allowed myself to get really out of shape. I ride and train horses so me being out of shape is not good. It has really affected my competitions and riding. I tend to dive head first into diets/workouts but fizzle out pretty fast. I am trying this board to see if I can stay motivated. Hopefully since people can see what I do/dont do I will feel more accountable and stick with it.
I decided to start running (I use to run a mile everyday with no problems). To my horror I can barely run a quarter mile at a time......:noway: So in the mornings I do a easy workout. I warm up for 5 minutes, speed walk for 10, jog for 5 (1/4 mile), speed walk for 5 and cool down for 5 minutes. Not much but its a start and it works really well to soothe my sore muscles in the morning and gives me energy without wearing me out.
In the afternoon I do 2 miles. same thing with the warm ups and speed walking. I jog a total of 1/2 mile, but I have to do 1/4 mile at a time. My goal is to be able to run a continuous mile.
Any advice or suggestions are appreciated........and feel free to add me as a friend......
