Ok, so I tried low carbs. Not really much of a meat eater but what the h#%@. Was so tired it was hard to put one foot in front of the other. I mean I kept carbs below 20. Well lost 1 freaking pound. So now I am going back to carbs, good carbs and going to stay at 80 or below daily. What do ya'll think? Anyone else out there who did'nt lose weight after giving up bread amd chcolate?? Need some encpurgement cause the weoght loss is really slowing down. Thanks

I've gotta have my carbs! Most of my weight loss is through running.

Carbs below 20? 20 what? I do low carbs and high protein. That means 35-40% of my calories come from carbs.

I took a look at your diary, and while when reading your original post I thought you meant 20% carbs I realize now that you meant 20 grams! To me that's totally insane! I consider myself to be on a lower carb diet, but my carbs are around 60-90g each day, which is drastically cut from the 250 or so I was eating before (and still losing weight mind you!). Also, many days it looks like you didn't even eat 1200 calories. I'd say you aren't eating enough! You can up your carbs and still have it be considered low carb. But I think you should probably at LEAST eat 1200 calories!

Find what percentage of carbs/fats/proteins works best for you. I lose weight easiest at 50% / 30% / 20%, respectively, daily intake. Those precise percentages won't work for everyone, but it'll be close. Carbs from "whole" foods (fresh fruits/veggies, whole wheats) are certainly better than those from processed foods. I found that eliminating foods with high fructose corn syrup kicked my weight loss into gear. You will be surprised where HFCS hides: bread, crackers, BBQ sauce... Read those labels. If it sounds more like a science project than food, don't buy it.

    Hope this helps!
