I'm having a tough time getting the last couple of pounds off...seems to come and go no matter my calorie input.. plus I like to enjoy a few beers and some burgers when the weather is nice!

I workout 5 days per week, 3 of them at 24 hour fitness in Beaverton off of Murray near Scholls. I workout hard, and would like to find a good workout partner that does the same and can push me. I workout M-W-F in the gym (arriving around 9am), 30 mins on the treadmill getting warmed up, and then about 1 hour doing free weights, followed by 15-20 mins on the treadmill again. Tues/Thursdays are pure cardio (running, plyometrics, etc...) for 1 hour.

I'm 5'9, 180lbs, and in pretty good shape. Would like to get ripped by July. Anyone in the area with a 24 hour membership, similar goals and workout routine that would like to partner up? Looking for someone who is already advanced on lifting and can hit the ground running. Male or female, I don't care so long as you bring it! :)

Wouldn't mind ideas on foods, etc... I've done the Atkins, Dukan, etc...they worked okay but I didn't feel very good on them. Now, I am doing protein rich, but I allow other good foods in moderation, and I calorie count on MFP and I just bought the Fitbit to help me track my daily activity.

It's a long shot, but worth a try.

Good luck, brother! I see that you want to start doing P90X...all I can say is that overall it's the best workout routine I've ever done in my life...I've been doing it for over 4 years, and just started going back to the gym to break up the routine for a while and gain some muscle mass on the free weights. The Ab ripper X routine is a killer and will give you those bumps under your skin! Now, I just need to lose that layer on top of those bumps! Don't wait to start doing P90X... you can do it now and just go at your own pace. Tony Hortonis a very cool person to workout to...he brings humor and such to the routines, not just your boring instructor with people grinning cheesy smiles... they are all in normal workout clothes actually sweating it up...no spandex thank god! haha

You may also want to check out 'Insanity' cardio workouts, which are on beachbody.com as well. Those kick my butt every time!

OMG, I never thought I would see another Beaverton MFP. I don't go to gyms, but could offer encouragement.

Wow... I used to live in Beaverton. Didn't ever expect to see anyone mention it outside of Oregon. Awesome! I'm returning sometime soon, but I'm not a gym-goer, unfortunately.

That said, there is at least one person apparently looking for a Beaverton workout buddy...

...and there are some other general Oregonian/Portland area clubs as well if you search "Oregon" or "Portland" in groups. Hope something works out for you!
