Hi all!. I started changing my eating habits and working out in late January weighing 172 and am not down to 133. I love doing cardio! I do some light weights as well. I workout 6-7 days a week, every week. I do stationary bike 60-90 minutes everyday. (6-7 days). Sometimes I'll do 30 on the treadmill, or throw in a dvd as well. I am about 2-4# from my goal right now. Should I pull back some from cardio, and do more weights, maybe heavy weights? Do more cardio? I generally burn from 900-1500 calories a day with the exercise I've been doing.
I want to get the last few pounds off and really tone. Any suggestions?

Just out of curiosity, how many calories do you eat each day? and how tall are you? I wish I could lose this fast. I exercise 6 days a week too, with cardio twice a day (morning and evening) and weights 4 times a week and am luck if I can lose 1/2 lb a week... :(

I think your doing just fine. Maybe take some protein to help you tone. Roughly your body weight in grams (133)

Not for sure if it will help you but what really started to help me is doing squats with dumbbells. After I started doing that, the weight really started coming off. Hope this helps.

Wow! That's really impressive! I think that you could probably slow down on some of the cardio and focus on heavier lifting and you'll see that those last couple of pounds don't really matter! For example, since I started lifting heavy in January I have only lost 2 pounds, but gone down from a size 10 to a size 6. It's amazing what lifting can do for our bodies!

I'm 5"5. I should probably eat more. I'm just not starving like I used to be. I only eat about 1000 -1100 a day. Some days more, but rarely. I've never went over my cals or eaten my exercise cals. More protein would probably be a good thing.

I was wondering about that! I think toning would probably be great. I've never lifted much at all and I don't know much about it. I did just download the book about weight lifting for women on my kindle though.

Ahh, I am 5'6".. and I did the starvation thing last year and I lost quite a bit fast... but I gained it all back, so dont want to go that route again, as I dont want to keep rebounding, but good for you! I think heavy lifting is important... it helps build and tone, and will not bulk you out at all (females dont unless you take testosterone) and the more muscle, the more fat you burn! Keep up the good work! (for heavy lifting) I love the Chalean Extreme DVDs from beachbody, very good for women!!

Yea, I'm going to try and get in 30 minutes today. Is that the usual? I'll probably do more cardio tonight as well. I just can't seem to back off on that, but maybe I should......?
