I'm looking for a good at home exercise to help tone up my legs a little more. I don't want squats tho.. hurt my legs big time.. Probably not doing them right. So now I'm looking for something else.. I walk 30 mins a day and I know that burns cals but does it really help tone up your legs? I just started out and I'm hoping to get myself to running for 30 mins.

I would really recommend NYC Ballet Workout Volume 1 DVD, or Ballet Beautiful Cardio Intro (available on the website for $6.50 with the coupon code PINK15, once you pay you can watch it as many times as you want.)

Both of these are really great for strengthening and conditioning the legs. Even better- they are low impact, so no jarring, jumping around. And both are... dare I say it, easy! This isn't insanity or 30 day shred-- just good stretching and controlled movements that won't get you so sore you can sit down.

if you have one of those little trampoline things, you can stand on one foot and toss a ball against a wall and catch it- this fires up all the little muscles needed for balance- making the leg as a whole, stronger.
I like standing in the 'horse stance' position- basically a sort of static squat (no up and down!) while I do upper body exercises.
    straight leg raises
    leg extensions
    good luck!

I don't have a little trampoline but I have one of the big ones. Should I go out and jump on that for a while?
