ok, my weight loss has slowed down alot, i know i am coming to the near end of my battle, i have about 5-7 lbs more ot go and that's it. I have never lost more then 2.5 lbs a month and as little as 0.6. I started at 1200 cals and that is when i saw my biggest losses for the 1st 3 months. Then it has slowed down a lot. I was suggested to up my cals to 1500-1550. I was scared to so i upped just past my bmr ( on mfp is 1248), to 1300- 1350. I have looked back at my charts on here and it seems i average 1500 cals or more for 17-19 days out of the month. in jan i lost 2.2 lbs, feb 1.2, mar 1.4 and april 0.6 So i was wondering what i have done to really slow my loss down last month and i can't seem to figure it out? i know i need to improve on my water intake and i eat as much protein as i can seem to get in a day and veggies, etc.. I just don't know what i am doing wrong? I was exercising at least 30 min a day plus a 15 min dog walk but lately have lowered that as i was having a hard time eating the cals back... so what suggestions can anyone give me? if i want to do it diet only, how can i get things rolling back to at least 1.5 lbs a month. it took me 6 months just to loose 10 lbs as i have a thyroid disorder too and that makes it so much harder..... oh and that was with exercise.. so i am wondering if i should try to continue on with diet only till i get to my goal?

Get off the weight goal and start defining the body, if you want. Your body is where it needs to be.
Remember that muscle weighs more than fat, too...so if you have definition....you've done it right.0 -
thx. i do have some definition no doubt especially compared to before. I knew i should of lost the weight 1st and then toned up after, then i wouldn't feel like i am so flustered... I am just in between sizes right now so that is so hard to buy anything! one size it's too loose and the other is still a bit too tight and gives me the muffin top... ugh my dr said she would like to see me around 122-125 for my height of 5 ft 2...and i'm 129-130.. i figured if i could get to 125 i'd be happy... and then hopefully i would be one size, not in between...
what kind of exercises can you do to define and what areas should i work on? I do jillian micheals 30day shred and ripped in 30, is that enough?0 -

I am 5'2....131 right now...my dr says I need to be 127. I run 25 miles a week...and have been bingeing every weekend..so upped my cals from 1200 to 1353 (my BMR according to calculators other than mfp). Hoping I can get this last 4lbs off and switch to maintenance. Add me if you want. Also..hows your diary look? I eat very clean 80% of the time.0

Buy yourself a Polar watch. Do you use MFP to accurately monitor your caloric intake? Then you should use something to monitor your caloric output. People generally underestimate the amount of calories they are taking in and overestimate the calories they are burning.
Then again. Those last 5 to 10 lb are the most difficult to lose. Stick with your plan and don't get impatient. This is a life-long thing you are doing. If you stop. You'll gain it all back...and MORE.
yes i log every morsel i eat and i also use a hrm already.0 -
More often than not the first few weeks to the first two months you will see your biggest loss. After that you will on average only lose 1-2lbs a month. Unless you exercise vigorously. By that I mean running at least 5 miles a day as well as strength training. I agree that also you shouldn't fixate too much on weight if you see inches lost. Muscle and fat dont weigh different they just take up different space. 5lbs of fat is about the size of your calve whereas 5lb of muscle will look like your forearm. Make sure to take measurements of your body every week, chest, waist, hips, thighs, arms and neck. This will give you a better view of the changes your body is going through, versus just relying on your mirror or someone else telling you you've lost weight.0

If we could see your diary, it would help folks to help you. But you might try zig zagging your calories since you're close to the end. As you approach the end of your loss, you should shake things up a bit. I suggest you visit fat2fitradio.com and work their calculators. Work up a plan. You certainly want to eat more than your BMR. The BMR is what you need if you're in a coma. This site is way too low on the calories they allow and high on exercise calories.0

i found mfp my bmr is 1248 and on fat2 fit it's 1343, so i had mine set to 1300 ( inbetween)... so i should eat a min 1348 net daily then, correct? I also measure myself, i have lost little inches but nothing major, i really haven't lost any inches since dec when i had my biggest loss in lbs. since then i only lost .5 off my waist and belly. that's it. not lots. 4.5 month and that's it. still in between sizes... that's the most frustrating...0
