Hey Y'all -- I'm new here. I heard great things about the Fitness Pal ap and since I was feeling discouraged today, I decided to check it out.

I live and work and play in the DFW metroplex, am a luxury travel agent (ie -- lots of time at a desk) and a writer (ie -- lots more time at a desk).

For me, my weight gain has been due to a decade of stress at home, compounded by 4 years of sitting behind a computer all day. I went from 135 when I graduated high school in 2004 to 226 at the beginning of this year when I decided to get serious about making a change. The weight has been coming off slooowly (.5lbs/week) until this past week when I started the Jillian Michaels 30-day Shred -- now I've GAINED 3lbs back (I'm sure it's water weight, but I don't see a change in my inches either -- so discouraging -- but I'm not giving up._

I want to boost my motivation, and hopefully Fitness Pal can help with that.
