Question about calories

So when I started myfitnesspal I weighed 260. Well I lost 8lbs. When I first started my calorie limit was 1390, well something was just telling me to check and its now 1511. Is this because I lost weight? Does it adjust as I go? I am pretty confused

yep its because you lost weight, it will continue to adjust as you go to ensure your eating the accurate amount of calories.

Um, if 1390 is what it is set for then u workout and u log ur workout u EARN exercise calories and you should eat em back if your hungry.. As you will lose weight eating less at first but eventually ur body is gonna want more food and as long as u keep ur body fueled all day long with the right kinds of foods u could easily eat around 1500-1900 calories per day and still lose weight.. google BMR CALCULATOR and see what your body burns without exercise. Im sure its more than ur eating now.. also once you know that #
NEVER eat below it.. and then find ur TDEE google that too and find that # minus 500 from it and thats what you should eat, to lose 1 pound per wk.. Hope this helps good luck...

never be afraid to eat more you will lose weight faster

No problem. I'm pretty sure I asked the same question when I first started out too. :)

Random question: What activity level did you select at the beginning? Active? I can't imagine 250lbs and you are active. Only because when I first started I was 260lbs and I selected sedentary because I was and still kinda am. Also, what is your height? I am 5'6" and MFP set my calories to 1860
