What does this mean?

I took a walk earlier this evening w/my kids. I was wearing my HRM and pushing my 2 & 3 yo in the stroller. I noticed I had to really pick up the pace (unless going up a killer hill) to get my HR above the "fat burning zone" and into the fitness zone. I had to walk so quickly it was almost to the point of jogging. I didn't have to work nearly as hard to get my HR up when I started exercising almost a month ago.

Please correct me if I am wrong, but doesn't this mean my heart is getting stronger? Which should be a good thing...but right now I'm feeling like it's a double-edged sword because now I'm having to work almost twice as hard to get the same burn numbers as I was before.

I noticed mine after a month isnt getting the same burn that I had previously doing the same things so had to change what I was doing, also make sure youve updated your weight changes on your HRM settings too.

This is why I started running. I needed to spend longer and longer on the treadmill to get the burn I wanted. I still walk for exercise but keep it around 45 minutes and just deal with the lower burn. On running days I get a great burn in my 30 to 40 minutes

Oh and I set the weight on my HRM about 10 lbs lighter than I really am. Then I have to change the settings far less often.
