found myself having to do fast food for lunch today. So went to arbys and got a fresh market sandwich.
honey wheat bread, roast turkey, swiss, lettuce, tomatoe and mayo and mustard.
i am so happy I only ate half of it and took off half the meat because i came home and looked it up.

702 calories:noway:

How do the turn a nice little turkey sandwich into that?

So be careful of the fresh market marketing!

It probably was the cheese and mayo adding all the calories. Remove that and it's not a bad sandwich.

The marthas vineyard salad is great there. I know it doesn't have many calories. I don't know the figures off hand. But it is really good and I am not much of a salad person either. I think its that tasty bread that makes the market fresh so high. Figures!

The real problem with those sandwiches are that they are so big. A half of wone would be closer to a meal. I usually get the Arby's melt which actually has about half the calories, yes it is loaded with sodium, but it's fast food and sometimes I just need all that salt.

Hahah it's not the turkey's fault! The turkey is a delicious, lean source of protein. Take off half the bread or the mayo, I'm sure the bread has plenty of HFCS and the mayo..well it's mayo. Cheese is also very calorically dense. Sometimes I feel like everyone hates protein these days:laugh:

Try ordering the kids' meals at fast food places. They are usually half the calories of an adult meal. Unfortunately it's because it's half the food! But usually they have good side choices like fruit. Although the small fries aren't as bad as the ones you get with a value meal deal. At least you get the fast food taste. Also a great toy!
