Water and coughing

So yesterday I drank 23 8oz glasses of water. That's 6 glasses over half my weight in ounces. Today I am coughing almost all the time. Coincidence or is it the water?

    Was it cold water? A Chinese friend once warned me against drinking too much cold water. Old wives tale? Don't know but when I stopped drinking like super cold icy water I stopped coughing. Go figure!

    I always drink ice water. Its the only way I can drink it.

    perhaps a little less water? idk why it would do that but maybe a little less lol that is a lot
