My hairdresser suggested I start taking Biotin because I want my hair to grow faster. (It's a B vitamin) Does anyone know of any adverse effects of taking Biotin, and what dosage is better?

3000mg is the dose I take during cold months to prevent skin/nail cracking. It's usually 1000-5000mg per day0

Ugh, I meant I take 3000mcg or 3mg, standard dose is 2.5mg (2500mcg) per day0

I dunno about health, but b-vitamins help with energy. They tend to work together so taking only B2 for example without B6, B12, etc doesn't accomplish as much. They are also water soluble which means there's no accumulation in the body. If you hit 200% one day and 0% the other, it won't average to 100% both days because it gets flushed out of our system.0
