Running and plateaus?

I have been running for several months. Recently I hit a plateau so I cut out alcohol during the week (wine with meals, mainly). And I noticed a change. I eat pretty clean and dont do red meat usually.
However, this week I started slowly going up on the scale.
The only thing that changed is that I moved my morning treadmill run to outdoor evening running...Although I know a week isnt a plateau, could that change be why I am seeing a 1-2 pound gain? According to my heart rate monitor I seem to burn a tad more cals outside than on the treadmill.
I do eat over 1200cals a day...my target according to MFP is 1390. I always eat the target, and on weekends I eat the exercise cals back too.

Sounds like you are eating below 1200 net calories during the week. You might want to try to up your calories a bit to see if the scale will move.0

Intensity is higher causing more water retention.

It's probably just water weight. I fluctuate around TOM, and also, I noticed that when I lift weights, I retain water for a day or two. It's very unlikely that you've eaten (or drank) enough calories to gain a pound or two of fat. Just keep doing what you are doing, and the scale will move the other direction.0

Is it hot outside? If it is hotter than what you are used to then you are acclimating to the heat. One of these adaptations is increased blood plasma volume which equals some weight gain.0

Yes its getting hotter outside...just wasnt sure if retention could be an issue since I have been running for so long already! I will keep watching it
And I eat over 1200 cals...and if I burn 400cals, I eat at least another 200. If I continue to go up, I will play with calories...but want to make sure its just not the change in running conditions...

There's some days I net up to 1700 cals!0
