One arm WAY stronger than the other??

Hey guys! So I was working out with my personal trainer last night, and it was the first time we had done much work on my arms. We realized pretty quickly that the left arm is much weaker than the other. And it wasn't even just a small difference. It seemed to be a very significant difference. My right could do the same number of reps as the left arm but the right arm had a weight that was 15 pounds heavier....

Has anyone ever heard of anything like this? My trainer asked if I had ever injured my left arm but I haven't ever hurt it at all... It just seems very strange! lol

I was a competitive softball pitcher for about 15 years...my right arm is much much bigger and stronger than my left because so many years of uneven training. As a kid/teen I never lifted weights or anything, it is all from pitching. They are visually different sizes, not just strengths. I would say focus on the weaker arm but dont neglect the stronger one.

Mine used to be this way...it has since regained strength thanks to weights

my dominant arm has always been stronger. I can do compound movements and I don't really notice the difference. It's just with isolated movements that I can see the difference. As long as you don't think you have pinched a nerve or anything like that it's probably normal.

Yep. I have 500g more muscle on my right arm than my left (I'm a freak and went for a DEXA)... I'm trying to strengthen my left with dumbbells.

This is fairly normal. I would definitely add in some dumbell work if you aren't already.
