Water Retention Issues

Anyone else out there put on water weight during the day? I weigh nekkid in the AM and by the time I did my WI at club I had gained 7 pounds and skinny jeans, due to my thighs going up 3/4" each were now... grossly uncomfortable! I don't eat a ton sodium, processed foods and lean more towards protein based diet with veggies and fruit than carb based... just prefer it.
When I WI this AM I had lost 7.4 pounds just during the night. Happy to be down another .4 - but still......
Good to know, but so uncomfortable (I can barely get my ring off at end of day to lift) and frustrating especially in those skinny jeans that I so love!

what did you eat between the two different times weighing? does seem alot to go on in one day, unless you TOTM is due in which case weigh again after they have ended.0

You can view my diary for the 14th and 15th - I ate very well and exercised! I also just started back on the pill on Sunday the 13th... so although I do gain prior to that time of month... this sort of blew my mind. I tend to swell up daily anyway, but never knew it could be 7 pounds worth!0

This is why I only weigh in the morning. Always weigh with the same variables. Before food, after bathroom and first thing in the morning. Everyone fluctuates 2-10 lbs a day, they just don't know it0

I used to gain 4-5lbs daily then went low carb and wheat free and weighed morning and night and was only gaining by 1lb when I didn't eat any bread, pasta, potatoes, rice etc and dropped 7lbs of water in the first week.
I found from weighing twice a day for a while which foods seemed to result in the most water going on for me so recorded it for a while and if was any I couldn't live without I have them as an occasional treat with strict diet on days either side so I don't regain it all.
Mainly I found my biggest cause of water retention was wheat so just have non-wheat cereals, switched to gluten free bread for toast. If I'm going to treat myself to pasta, or yorkshire pud I tend to do it in week before TOTM when I've gained water then it comes off with the rest when they end!0 -
I hear that WI only in the AM... it is how I do it! I just go crazy when I wear certain clothes and by night they just get all grabby and not in an attractive manner.
I like the idea of tracking what I eat on days I gain. I am going to WI AM and PM to just see how things change. I just never thought it'd be 7-8 pounds... I say, Holy Crap!0 -
I have exactly the same problem with my legs ballooning during the day and my jeans feeling really tight. Is it normal... can I spot or at least reduce it in anyway?0
