if am eating a ntural diet is it best to eat 2000 calories a day or 1200 i dont want to go in to starvation mode

Go to fat2fitradio.com and it has a calculator to tell you your BMR. As a general rule, people say to eat at least that. While I can't find any scientific literature to back that up as a magic number, it ends up being a pretty moderate calorie deficit for most people, which HAS been shown to be the best way to lose fat while retaining lean mass.0

1200 is a rough guide absolute minimum. Starvation mode is a hotly debated topic - let's look at your particular statistics.
If you're currently 10 stone, I'd guess you're not very overweight?
If so, then you don't want to be aiming for too much weight loss each week. I'd guess that somewhere between 1200 and 2000 would work - you might need to experiement for a few weeks at different levels to see what's effective.
I'm not aware that eating natural changes your calorie requirements.0
