I found out about MFP from my Curves Instructor. I had been adamant that I didn't want to do their weight management class cuz I knew I would not stick with it but I still wanted to be held accountable for what I put in my system and still be able to lose weight.

The Fitbit Community fora. Everyone kept saying that MFP had a better food database. Which it does.
  • I was bike riding with my friend ibbird00 and mentioned that I was eating better and going to lose weight. She told me about this cool app she is using . . . turned out to be MFP. I'm so glad that she told me about it. I've been here 30 days and have lost 9.5 lbs.

It might have been an article talking about apps... I can't recall if I was already a member or if that was what got me to sign up. Too old, no memory haha.

A friend of mine on another internet board told me about it. I've used fitday.com and sparkpeople.com, dailyplate.com in the past. MFP was the only one with a free droid ap after I got my droid so it won.

I had decided to start trying to track my calories myself, in a good old fashioned notebook with a pen! I was trying to find the calories for something and when I googled it this site came up. It took no time to sign up!

There is a blogger in YouTube I like alot and she mentioned the site, I kept it in my bookmarks for a long while, but I decided to try it out and I like it a lot, because it might not be 100% accurate, but it's making me learn so much about how to eat right, and what was I eating before unconsciously.

A friend at the fire station was using it one day and my curiosity got the best of me. Difference is that he is body building and trying to increase his intake and I am trying to lose weight and balance intake/output. Different uses but both of us have had success with it.
