Who all works out when there sick? As a rule of thumb how do you know if it's an ok thing or not? I'm pretty sick today but i'm going through a wave of feeling better. I just don't want to overdo it! TIA

Im a firm believer that when Im sick, my body needs to 'shut down'.... rest is important for health and getting better. Hydration is important as well.

I usually always workout when I am sick. I really just listen to my body.If you feel well enough, go for it!
If I am to tired to workout I take a rest day, even when I am not sick. However that does not happen very often.

General consensus on the subject is is you're experiencing any kind of symptoms of stomach virus (nausea, vomiting, diarrhea) or a fever, take a rest. you could make it worse if you work out with these symptoms. otherwise it's okay, just take it easy.
  • I usually do not workout when I'm sick because it means my body needs the rest. But you have to do what is good for you..everyone is different.

Above the neck - Work out
    Below the neck - Rest
