Has anyone tried out the Skinny ***** workout dvd's? I saw one of them at Barnes & Noble bookstore one day, the title made me laugh, and im kind of thinking of getting it. I'd like to know how they are if possible

I bought the book and wanted to burn it. It was a bait and switch. I thought it was a diet how to book and it turned out to be all PRO VEGAN propaganda. I have no issues with vegan books, but tell me that in the summary before I buy it.

The language is over the top and uncalled for. The F word is used on every page soley for effect.

I have never tried them, but I was on netflix looking for something new to try and they have them on there and the reviews were average, so maybe you could rent it before you bought it, to make sure that you were going to really like it.

If you want good workouts, you should try the 10 min knockout body workouts. I found one at Walmart that has 5 different workouts on it and it came with a set of weighted gloves. It gets you moving and sweating up a storm. I have also seen this videos at London Drugs.

I own the book, and if the workout coincides with the way that they eat- I would skip it.
Plus, you can get all the FREE workouts you want online in various locations!

They eat sticks and twigs! On the diet they suggest any workout would have to be relatively mild otherwise they might die of starvation :-/

I have the Skinny B*tch booty bounce DVD. It is ok for someone like me with no dance skills, but I find them anoying after a while and they are off beat which really bugs me. They do a step touch while they are explaining the next move and they are going slower than the beat of the music. I haven't tried any of the other ones though. They don't really mention the vegan lifestyle except in the commentaries of the dance one.

One that really fun is tahitian hip hop. Its really silly but after I was done my abs hurt from all the hulaing. Its not very difficult or hardcore or anything like that. I burn half the amount of cals as I did in 30 day shred in the same amount of time. I Hope that helps.

Why do you think they are so B****Y? Sheesh. Sometimes I see people like that and I wanna say, "Eat a burger, even if it is a garden burger. Please? Eat something?" I know I couldn't survive like that. Eating is sensual, and to give that up, BAH! Never.

I think they do write for a very particular audience, but most of what they say is to eat more REAL food, less processed junk (eating clean?), but sometimes the way they come off (personality), I think they can be crass.
  • i do exercise tv workouts!! yeeeah they're great...i love the walking ones...and jillian michaels..hope it works.
