Due to a recent injury I am no longer able to run (which I hated anyway) but I am still able to ride a bike. Can anyone suggest a good training plan site to get me started? Where can I find some competitive or charity rides for beginners?

I am soooooo beginner its not funny. First real ride was today. I did 10 miles in 51 minutes. Slow, I know but I'm looking to improve!

Thanks a bunch!

Find a local club too, riding with others is a great way to quickly build speed and distance!

There are loads of different types of competition, so there's bound to be something you can use as motivation !

Where are you based UK, US HK??

It is quite easy to do a few charity rides but once they become a bit boring it is time to move on, I would hold off joining a club for now as I would get bike fit and then join up as some clubs can be a bit snobby and not want slower riders. If you are in the UK have a look on Audax uk as there are plenty of rides every week that you can do.
