So stressed, and frustrated. I just finally started seeing gains back up to weights I was lifting before I lost 55 lbs. Monday hit 105s for 6 reps on DB incline benches... 325 on squats and my nemesis wide grip ups finally starting to get weighted ones done... (do those ever get easy lol)... This week also hit 9 plates 45s on each side for leg presses for 6 reps ( excited about this)
Well for quite some time I've worked thru pain in one shoulder and recently pain in my elbow that runs down thru my forearm... ( the shoulder pain is gone now btw, which I think has alot to do with the amplified elbow pain now)
Originally I figured this elbow/forearm pain was mainly due from intensifying my lifts again and barreling in on pull ups to get better at them. But it's getting to a point now that I get woke up in the middle of the night cuz of a shooting pain.
I'm thinking it's time to Deload and take a break from working out!
My question is how long do u usually take? A week? 2 weeks? Or just do cardio/abs for those times. Just hating knowing that if I break I'm gonna be weaker to start off again.
Also a small but frustrated thing is scale hasn't moved at all in 2 weeks but I have lost 1.6% bodyfat.... So while not seeing the scale move sucks I can live with the more important bodyfat reduction!!!

I usually deload for a week every 6 to 8 weeks or as injury dictates. I usually go with higher volume less weight. I can say I have never came back weaker after a deload.0
