Vintage Weight Gain Ads - How times have changed...
http://www.retronaut.co/2011/11/vintage-weight-gain-ads/
I recently came across a profile of a girl whose very obvious cry for attention was an eating disorder. While I realize that this girl was the extreme and not the norm, I also just saw someone post that a study showed that most men found a girl at a BMI of 19 the most attractive. So, I wanted to post something that showed how much this country swings from one extreme to the next. In the roaring twenties, super skinny was in, by the 40's and 50's, these ads were everywhere. History repeats itself.
