Light weights on my "rest day".

I skipped a gym day because I went to a concert this week.
I usually lift heavy, but as today is meant to be a rest day I'm thinking of doing my usual routine but with lighter weights (I'm thinking about the bar with no weights, so 20kg/44lbs) with more reps and focusing on form. Would this make it more of a cardio workout?
Would this mess up the muscle repair or do you think it's fine.
