Do stretch marks start fading when you lost weight?

I use bio oil ( not religiously) and have noticed in the last few weeks my stretch marks (which I acquired through puberty and a quick weight gain) have started to fade. Do your stretch marks fade when you lose weight? It would be another bonus if they did :-)

I think they just fade over time, whether you lose weight or not. I've had stretch marks forever, since my first pregnancy, and eventually they all just turned silver. They're still there, but they're not so obvious.0

I also got mine in my teenage years and they were always quite red, when I lost some weight they did seem less noticeable. Currently with the weight I have lost they have become hardly noticeable at all, I think it is a combination of time/weightloss.0

Mine have faded loads since lost weight, but I think that's just a time thing (it's been a long weightloss journey for me).
Moistursing helped me a lot though. Personally I got no great results from Bio Oil (for the cost, anyway) so I switched to Body Shop Coconut Butter, which smells amazing and really softens your skin.0 -
