Today still cleaning. Sigh. This place is a pit. However, have started back walking and swimming--creak, creak,......
Tomorrow I've been invited to go with my son and wife to a large furniture store an hour outside Rome to look at the furniture they've picked for their apartment. It'll be an all day thing. It'll be nice to see the new trends. I've been out of it for a long time. I used to work as an interior designer in a large store. However, as a good MIL should, will have to be diplomatic and bite my tongue if I don't agree with the choices. Today the new windows and doors are going in. I can see it all from my kitchen window across the courtyard.1 -

I'm biting my gif tongue. I can see ____from my house.
But that ain't really Alaska...it's Montana. This is why no one should move here. There's way too much country music and grizzlies and there's really nothing to see. What a dump.1 -

@snowflake954 The drought, how's it lookin' over in your neck of the woods. I'm still watching the vigil. They mentioned the quiet stillness that was around her. It brought a sense of peace in the midst of everyone. That's what you do, too. You're the queen of your family's castles.1

The drought broke in early August. At 3:00 in the morning---a huge BOOM! Stuff was flying in the bathroom, big umbrella pines were waving and shaking like crazy. Thank goodness I'd closed the awning up on the terrace off our bedroom. The wind and lightning was something. Then we lost power. It didn't come back until 3:00 in the afternoon. The storm didn't last long. Trees went down on the powerlines. I had pine needles everywhere. However, the high heat and humidity stayed. Usually with a storm, it breaks.
When a week or so later, second storm. We had strong sticky hot winds from the South. It rained mixed with sand. We get sand from the Sahara. It's all gritty. So, after the pine needles to clean up, I had sand on all the balconies, terrace and steps--yuckaroo. Still hot and humid--no letup. We'd get some rain about once a week after that. It's stayed hot and is still going strong. Up North lots of flooding and mudslides in the mountains. I thought of you. Connection.1
