Upped calories to my BMR

I'm a little scared right now....I have battled the whole last month and only got 4 pounds off.....I'm 5'3 and started at 251 calories. I was finally down to 240 pounds and that took 4 months to lose 11 pounds. Granted I wasn't perfect but pretty good. I would slightly step out of line and go up 2 pounds and and stay that way for an extra week.. I just felt like I was the product of an overly sluggish metabolism... SOOOOO, after much reading I upped my calories to my BMR last friday and have now seen my weight go from 240 calories to 244. Just this week... OK,, so I know that isn't all weight gain... But I'm looking for some people out there that have upped their calories and saw a little gain but then their metabolism kicked in... I need some motivation... I have so much to lose that I really need to see some success! One little thing is that when I was eating 1300 calories, I was less hungry than eating 1650... SO, I'm guessing that my metabolism is picking up??? I hope...
Please tell me your success story from upping calories...
Thanks! Kim

Yes it is! I'm two weeks in to upping my calories to TDEE -15%. I was bloated and full for a few days. Went from 153 to 157 and then decided to lose the scale for awhile. A couple of days ago I started waking up STARVING. Hello metabolism! It was bizarre! But it proved a point. I was NOT eating enough, and I was eating a lot! I still haven't gone on the scale, but the inch gains in my measuring tape are starting to go back down. It can take a number of weeks....but I couldn't eat 1300 calories for the rest of my life! That is not enough for you and your metabolism has started to slow. Do this now! Don't wait. It will be worth it. :-)0

Well Kim as you know I too have UPPED my calories to my BMR range, however the first week I did this, I lost 1.8 pounds BUT... this week nothing... not yet anyways AND this morning was up 2 pounds, and yes I too know that it is NOT all "fat". I did go into this (which was just last Monday that I upped mine) knowing that I could see an increase on the scale BUT TO KEEP AT IT! I feel that I am sleeping better, when I actually sleep, and find that I don't get hungry thru out the day with the increased calories. I still eat the same things but instead of lite salad dressing I eat the "real" stuff or instead of the lite baby bel cheese I eat the "real" one, you know the stuff that has more calories and less sodium. So to me its a win win since I also watch my sodium intake. I also have a full serving of mixed nuts in the evening rather than just a 1/2 serving. Or add extra peanut butter to my toast. I also bought some Who Nu cookies- 3 for 150 calories that if I have to get in a quick 150 I grab those. Fixes my sweet tooth too! Just hang in there girl... let you body get used to it. I would say at least 4 weeks before trying anything different. Good luck!0
