Has anyone used the salad spritzers? Good or no? Would you recommend?

If you are talking about the Wishbone ones, the main ingredients are water and high fructose corn syrup. Basically you are spraying sugar water with flavoring on to your salad.

I was using them before because I liked the low calorie aspect of it. I started making my own mix of oil and red vinegar, and now I pretty much only use Red Vinegar.
  • I like them for the low-cal aspect. Taste-wise, they're great--especially the balsamic and caesar versions. However, if you're trying to focus on eating more natural, less processed foods, I agree, make your own. Use plain old balsamic vinegar, or mix up a little lemon juice, olive oil, and dijon mustard with salt and pepper. If you live near a Trader Joe's (or I'm sure any other more specialty-oriented grocery), they make a bunch of great flavored vinegars that have dressing recipes on the bottle (I especially love the orange champagne!). Super simple, super healthy, super crazy yummy!

I tried them but didn't like. Too watery for me. I would rather just have the real stuff and less of it rather then many spritzes of flavored water.

try olive oil and balsamic or red wine vinegar instead. A tablespoon of each will set you back about 110 calories, but they are real foods and taste great. For extra awesome flavor, go with a really good olive oil.
