Fast, KID FRIENDLY, healthy dinners!
I am looking for some recipes for dinner that are fast and healthy but more importantly, KID FRIENDLY! I have two little ones and while the one will eat just about anything you put in front of him, the other one has, alas, taken after me in being a picky eater. Thanks!

My daughter is a very very picky eater,as am I. She is not a fan of meat but she loves vegetables and pasta. so the hamburger helpers, velveeta skillet meals and simple meals of pasta noodles, cut up sausages /ground turkey, spaghetti sauce, or whatever sauce you like are a big hit because you can throw in some extra vegetables without making it too noticeable becaue it is mixed in with everything else. My daughter loves it and there are so many ways that you can make pasta different that you cant get bored with it. hope this helps!0

I bought a pampered chef deep covered baker about 2 months ago and I LOVE IT! I cooked a whole chicken in it in like a half an hour....I made meatloaf in 20 minutes, theres a chicken fajita recipe I think it takes 15 mins! This is my FAVORITE!! Anything I am going to cook, I check to see if it will be doable in my Deep Covered Baker!0

Chicken tacos.
Salad. No joke. I just call it "leaves" and they think they're getting away with eating something they're not supposed to eat. Might not work for all kids, but it works for mine.
Breakfast for dinner.
Fruit salad with grilled chicken tenders and honey mustard for dipping (make your own instead of buying the Kraft version)0 -
Also:
Beef and vegetable stir-fry
Sandwiches!
Lentil loaf (it's like vegetarian meat loaf. So stinking good)
I guess I'm having a hard time thinking of "kid-friendly" stuff, because my kids just eat real people food. Steak with roasted veggies, pasta primavera, roasted chicken with crash hot potatoes, asparagus, whatever. I mean, they're picky, but what they do eat is just regular food.
ETA: And as far as pickiness, sometimes it's just being picky, but sometimes it's about texture, or maybe the child can't stomach bitter flavors. Our rule in the house is that unless it's something that just completely grosses the kid out (like my daughter cannot wrap her brain around casseroles), they have to try one bite of everything on the table. My son has insisted for months that he hates salmon, but I make him try a bite every time anyway. I made it a couple of days ago, and had him try his standard bite, and his face lit up. "Wow, I WIKE salmon!" And he ate up all his fillet and part of mine. So keep trying. It doesn't have to be a fight -- we don't fight about it, but if you're hungry, you have to try everything on your plate, or I don't want to hear the whining. Most nights they try it willingly because they know I'm not making them eat it if they dont' like it. It works for us. Might not work for everyone, but hey, it's worth a shot, right?0
