Iv booked myself into the Power Pump class at my local gym on Saturday morning. Here the description
"A group exercise class using bar bells and hand weights. It's intense!"

Is anyone able to help me/let me know how I would log this in my fitness diary please?

Sorry if this has already been asked Im new to the site and finding my way around.

Thank you
Vicky

I do a body pump class a few times a week. It is more aerobic than weight lifting... because you are going to do 100 reps plus, so pick a lower weight than you would normally do.

As far as calorie count, it honestly will depend on how difficult it is for you, how high your heart rate gets. There is typically not a lot of rest in the class...

I created my own exercise for it and I have it burning around 350-450 calories for 60 min.

    Its a great class!

    Thanks,
Im expecting it to be difficult to be honest, its my first time ever in my life doing a group exercise class so im a little nervous but I really want to look good when I get married im sure I will manage.

Can I guesstimate based on how hard I work other times knowing roughly what my heart rate is?
I think I might invest in a heart rate monitor
