Can you believe July is half over? :noway: Yikes.
I got up early  and went for my jog. I didn't run nearly as far as I did on Monday. I just didn't have it in me. My legs felt like jello and I was still half asleep. But I did it! I am aiming to do it on Friday again.
Today is horse therapy, shopping at Sprouts and coming home and I am going to try to get some signs made for the garage sale. Or at least figure out what I want to price everything. On a few of the nicer books I am wondering about taking them to half price books. I wonder if I will get more for them there than in a garage sale. I also have to take down the table today (where will we eat?) so we can put furniture for the sale in our dining room tomorrow. Good thing the sale is a week a way!

You can get more money at a garage sale than at Half Price Books - you can always take the leftovers there. I've done a few garage sales for the animal shelter and I charged a flat rate for each type of book - but I was having an enormous sale. I also charged a flat rate for clothes, though you make more money if you price them separately. Blue jeans sell well, but that's about it (you might get a couple dollars a pair, depending on brand). Also, people will ask if other things are for sale. You might want to rope off part of your garage with a NFS sign.

I'm working on learning when my body is tired. I worked out hard yesterday in yoga and rather than walking on the treadmill when I got home, I just rested. I did bike to the library yesterday though.

Today: yoga and treadmill. Maybe gym if it gets too hot in the house. I'm hoping to make it back to the hard yoga class tomorrow, but I have the AC people coming near the same time as the class.

    Still looking for balance boogaloo.

    So, I just woke up!

I went out last night to a bachelorette party (I felt 175 years old. . .) at a Tex-Mex place. I ate nachos and drank two (small) margaritas. I felt disciplined. I was inspired because, get this. . .the restaurant had a chalkboard up that had Mexican food as a healthier choice factoids such as "ketchup has 343% more calories than salsa"and the calories in a burrito vs. the calories in a quarter pounder with cheese. For their calorie breakdowns, they cited a source: "myfitnesspal.com" I took a picture of the board, because I am a nerd. It didn't turn out very readable.

Feeling OK, but like I had too much sodium. So, for today it's writing for an hour, and a training session late (thank goodness) this afternoon. And lots and lots of water. . .

    Take care, my pebbles.:flowerforyou:

    Hey All!

I survived Detroit! Not much time to write -- I'm headed in to the office (no rest for the weary) but I'm back on track today with logging.

Not much damage done in Motor City (except for too much drinking at night with the crew and too little sleep), but I'm really excited about getting in to regular workouts again. I did manage to work out about every 2-3 days while I was there and limited the snacking on set. I didn't gain or lose anything.

So my goal is to get back to losing!

    Today:
~ 1 hour of jumprope intervals and weights (done)
~ EAT BREAKFAST (going to try to do this all week)
    ~ Take vitamins
~ Take the one-day-at-a-time approach to snacking on unhealthy "office food" like sugary granola bars and wheat things
    ~ Replace my HRM battery

    Happy to be Home Boogalooo!

    Welcome back, WL!

That is too cool about the restaurant referencing MFP, V.

I haven't decided what I'm doing for workouts today. Either aerobics or elliptical... although if the weather is nice, I am tempted to try and find something outside to do. I had a bigger breakfast than usual so I am trying to not have as many snacks during the day, but it's rather hard. Do you guys find that you can eat less later in the day to compensate for eating more early? It's really challenging for me - I guess I am used to a certain amount of food at certain times, so I still want it even if I've already eaten the calories earlier.

Welcome back WL! It's amazing to me what some people find hard, others find easy. I never miss breakfast (or any other meal), but ask me to not finish what's on my plate, now you're talking challenging. Which is why I must ask myself if I've had enough food. BTW, that pic is Santa Monica beach.

CP - I'm not sure if I taken in fewer calories after one larger meal. I think so, but my calorie intake variation has more to do with the amount of exercise I've done - and I usually exercise twice a day (once before lunch and once before dinner). I don't vary my breakfast food.

    Welcome back, Wandering!

So, I bailed on my trainer today. I feel awful, which I'm blaming on the fact that literally everyone but me and one other person at the party last night was smoking like a chimney. I've been coughing all day, and feel just gross. I finally recognized the feeling from when I used to smoke (when I'd go out I'd easily smoke a pack in a few hours) The day off is cool, because I actually had only scheduled one day off this week. . .and now I'll have my normal two.

Oh, and I feel your pain CP, on the days that I succeed in spacing out my calories, I still think "where's all my food at?" at dinnertime/after dinner, which is where I used to cram in most of my calories.
