I don't know anything about HRMs, but I would like to purchase one so I can record my exercise and calories burned as accurately as possible. Could you please tell me what to look for by name and price?
Thank you!

HSN had a proform HRM on sale for $25.00 so I purchased it and so far I like it. The reviews were mixed on the product but I rather pay $25 than pay $75-100 right now. Good luck on your search.

I got my timex from newegg for around $45 when it was originally $75. I like it though. It is a wrist watch, but there is a sensor band you have to wear on your chest. I sometimes find that annoying, but the pro's definitely out weigh the cons!

If you are looking for a cheap HRM or one without a chest strap, then don't even buy an HRM. They won't be accurate and are a total waste of money.

If you want a good HRM, then buy a Polar.. FT4 comes off of amazon for about 60 with free shipping.

Hubby just ordered me the Polar.. FT4 . I have read a lot of reviews and this one has gotten the best for accuracy and ease. Plus is syncs up with your pc. I am not supposed to know he ordered it, but he left the page open on the tablet.

    It's a watch and a chest belt.

    Agreed.

I have a Polar FT7, I got it at Target for $70...best investment I've ever made! Super accurate and has a chest strap.

If you're going to make the investment, make sure you do your research. It won't be worth it if a $35 machine craps out on you after only a few uses and you have to buy a more expensive replacement...when meanwhile you could have just made the one purchase and been happy with it.
