What supplements do you take? and do you take them on an empty stomach or with a meal?

I am starting on the fish oil and a multi vitamin because my diet is not always full of fruit and vegetables and the winter is coming and don't want to get sick. The fish oil because i think drinking has killed too many brain cells and hoping this will help improve my memory.

  • I take vitamin c, calcium supplements (I'm allergic to dairy), a women's multivitamin, food based (essential for weightloss!), an omega-3 every other day, and twice the reccommended vitamin d. I live up north where it isn't very sunny and vitamin d is really important for immunity, even more so in the winter :) I always take my vitamins with at least some food because otherwise your body can't absorb the nutrients. Hope this helped :)

    I take (with a meal):

    Vitamin C
    Vitamin D (10,000 IUs/day)
    B-complex plus extra B6 (for PMS/PMDD)
    zinc
    magnesium
    Omega-3 fish oil

I also take some amino acids on an empty stomach for specific issues.

Like you, I take a mulitvitamin (specifically for women) and omega-3 daily. I also take vitamin D occassionally.

Every morning with food I take:

5mL High Strength liquid fish oil (to help even out Omega 3:Omega 6 ratio)
1 Swisse Iron Tablet (my level got low when I was sick)
1 Vitamin D tablet (I don't get enough sun for immunity and bone strength)
1 Super Strength Probiotic (for gut health)

I also add soy protein powder to smoothies once or twice a week.
