I wasn't really sure where to post this so sorry if this is the wrong place. Its festival season coming up and usually its really hard to know what to bring. Usually I bring loads of fattening unhealthy stuff as it lasts (crisps, sweets, e.t.c). What are some healthy, low fat foods that will last for a few days that I can bring? I've thought like nuts and things but that's not really gonna cut it for a decent meal and they're high cal.
Thank you :) xxx

Buy a portable gas camping stove, they are essential! Then you can do lots of omlettes (seeing as eggs are filling and easy and quick) pasta salads, tinned tuna, baked beans and as there'll be no fridge, tinned vegetables like peas and carrots as well as fresh fruit that might last longer than others. Cheese will keep well too, as will air tight packed bagels.

I have been attending festivals for the last 5 years and have usually been the same, pre packaged foods and generally nothing healthy.

I now make a large tub of pasta from fresh ingredients and take this to eat cold, put some cooked chicken in, tin of tomatoes or use fresh, plus any veg you like really. If you cook it the night before you go this usually stays fresh enough for the weekend!

Tins of fruit or cartons of juice are always good aswell.
