So I have been on MFP since Jan. wasted a whole bunch of time and now that summers here Im freaking out cause im so hot and uncomfortable.. I happend apon some info. on primal eating or the primal blue print and I've been doing my best to follow that way of thinking in my diet.. I've been seriously eatingn like this for only about 7 days and in that 7days I have lost 8lbs.. Im like is this normal?? I see some say its water weight but I can see my stomach flattening .. I walk 2-3 miles a day and do Jillians 30ds every day.. Heres my eating stats - 1400 Calories (sometimes I eat back my exercise cals sometimes I dont) , 80 or less carbs, 100+ protein, 15-20 grams of fiber and I shoot to stay under 55 grams of fat and 2500 grams of sodium a day. I burn a minimum of 255 cals a day but sometimes up to 600+... So what do you think .. is this a fluke or am I safe to continue on?
ps please no low carb bashing, negative comments or attitude here ..btw i have sooo much energy!! way more than before!! and staying under 80 carbs a day is easy when i only intake carbs in the form of fruits veggies nuts etc

just because you can see your stomach flattening doesn't mean it isn't water weight0

Well I guess only time will tell.. If I have another week of weight loss im not gonna buy "water weight" crap.. I've gone from eating nothing but fast food carbs and sodium and not moving at all.. to eating lean proteins, fiber and healthy fats and burning an average of 2000+ calories a week so I know its not just water weight.. not to mention I now drink 12-14 glasses of water a day wouldnt that add water weight not decrease it?
hhmmm.. i did ask for no attitude didnt I? what is with ppl on here?0 -

I didn't say it was just water weight, but it is mostly water weight. The body simply cannot oxidize fat that quickly. Carbohydrate stores glycogen and water in the muscles and liver. When you lower carbs, you're going to lose that glycogen and water, that's why low carb diets elicit rapid initial weight loss.
And you don't have to ask for attitude from me, it's a free bonus.0 -

Actually going from a diet of fast food and crap, to healthy foods leaves you at a higher chance of the weight being mainly water weight. Don't bash on people because you asked for an opinion and you got it! I really didn't see attitude from anyone but yourself, and when you have attitude you will get it back!0
