Guys, would like to hear your thoughts on Stevia/Truvia sweetener, is it really less evil than other sweeteners?

I don't know how evil it is, but it TASTES way better. Way way better.

Hate all sweetners inc'l Stevia or Stevia in the Raw. Really happy with Truvia. I use Truvia and Silk in my coffee and I don't feel cheated. So, I can't worry about the benefits or pitfalls as long as I get my coffee haha.
It was banned in the US then the ban was lifted for a while if labled a dietary sup. but, that was political, There were numerous studies done and mixed results about it's toxicity to the liver but studies done recently show that there is no evidence that would support the distiction Stevia is bad for the liver unless consumed in ridiculous quantities.

I agree with this post. I always carry a packet in my purse for unsweetened ice tea when eating out.

I use Stevia in the Raw and I love it! Just like everything else in life you will have people on both sides of the fence, but from what I've learned Stevia comes from a plant mostly unaltered. Sweet n Low and Equal etc are manufactured and aren't healthy for you.

The truvia...estevia...they are all natural sweetners. It comes from the leaf of an actual plat. Way better than any man-made chemicals.

For me, I dont use any of it. I have too many food-related sensitivities and allergies that all that stuff makes my life a living hell, medically...
