how can i find out my body fat percentage and once i do whats a good goal to aim for and how do i get it down?

Buy a Omron handheld body fat monitor. Check Academy or Amazon.com. GNC sells them too, but they are higher there unless they are having a good sale.0

You can purchase cheap calibers online. Those are usually the most accurate way to find out your body fat %. Some gyms, if you are part of one, have the machines and people to find that out as well.
I have a scale that tells me mine. Not the most accurate thing in the world but it's a decent judge.
You get your body fat down by a calorie deficit and weight loss. Strength training can help as well since as you build more muscle you can burn more fat and although the scale may not reflect weight loss you are losing body fat as muscle is replacing it.0 -

A rough estimate is to work out what percentage of your current weight would be your skinny weight, the difference between that and 100 is fat.0
