Lost Appetite?

Given that most people are here for weight loss, this is a bit of a strange questions to ask on these forums. I just started a new medication that has completely killed my appetite - I've got that post-Thanksgiving dinner feeling after only a few bites . I've seen posts in the past of people needing to eat 1800 or 2000 calories daily (due to exercise) and struggling to make the mark, but for the past several weeks I've been really struggling to even hit 1200 a day (ideally, I'd like to hit between 1300 and 1500). I love running, but I haven't been running lately since I don't want my net calories to dip even lower, and I'm sure that's not doing any favors to my overall health. So far, I've managed to get enough calories by eating pasta; however, as I don't eat meat (and all those whey supplements are out of my budget), doing that throws my macros way off.
So, my question is this: do you have any tips for sneaking in extra calories--preferably high-protein ones--without feeling like you're force-feeding yourself? Are there any easy-to-make snacks that aren't too filling but are still high-calorie and healthy?

Eat nuts. I have to almost every day to get to the upper of my calorie goal. They are easy to sit and munch on and high calories and low carbs. I stick to the raw unsalted nuts for other health reasons but sure that the regular old store bought would be fine.
If you do want to go the all natural way check out nuts.com. They have super fast shipping and their raw nuts are so yummy.0 -
Walmart has protein shakes brand Body Fortress which don't taste too bag when chugged over the sink (4oz of water/half scoop) they are high protein and decent cals. The taste is iffy.. but a whole tub costs $15.0

As suggested nuts can be very good for you - almonds are my first choice and often recommended.
Extra Virgin Olive Oil can also be useful in boosting the calories and whilst also high in fats is relatively low in sat fats and generally regarded as very good for you.
You will obviously want to monitor the nutrients but I find oil and nuts useful in getting the calories up.0
