Good morning Pebbs!
A rare quick post for me. We are going grocery shopping this morning, all healthy foods...I think. That will probably be the extent of my exercise. I do need to clean house and do laundry. The people may have "backed out" about bringing the furniture. At least today. I do have other people bringing stuff so I need to have the house clean.
So far Alex is in a good mood. I hope it stays that way through the shopping! Have a blessed day!

A break in the 100 degree heat is in sight - this weekend it will be in the mid 90s. Chances are it will be humid as all get out - but at least the plants will have a break. I can't remember the last time we had this many days over 100.

My chart is back up on the fridge - which is good - it keeps me one track - especially the no desserts one.

Today, if the AC service people leave in time, I hope to go to yoga, if not, I'll do it at home. Also plan on some gym time or treadmill.

    Break in the heat, boogaloo!

    Morning!

I wish you a break in the heat! Oh man, I don't know how I ever lived in Florida (although it's not even that hot there, and we get the daily 3 pm thundershower for relief.) Every time I go back to visit I spend the whole time saying "how do you people live like this?" Which is the same thing they say when they come up here in February. I have an acquaintance from Cuba who kept saying (it was October and in the high 30s, I think) "this is excessive!"

So, today is Bikram and my second session with my nutritionist (I'm very curious to what she's going to do with me. I've been paranoid I'm going to have to give something up. Don't wanna) then shopping for food then a quiet afternoon at home writing for at least an hour. (very hard right now, because I'm in that "everything I write is stupid" mode. I just have to get something down on paper, so I can edit it into something magical (or something). . .

    Take care, dear pebbles.:flowerforyou:

Good Morning All! Hot as can be here as well, even by the beach!

Kept the eating under control yesterday (has anyone ever noticed how SUGARY wheat thins are?? I don't even like the taste of them any more).

    Goals for today:
    * Quickie walk before work
    * Take my vitamins (didn't do this yesterday)
    * Snack on veggies and hummus during the late-afternoon slump
    * Bring gym clothes to work in case I can get in a workout afterwards

I'm off to Montana tomorrow for a wedding and I'd love to get a big workout in tonight, and hopefully a long hike over the weekend.

    Nutritionist update:

She wants me to do an allergy elimination diet, and we decided it would be better to do that after the road trip (where I'll have only some control over my food). She is particularly suspicious of corn (which I eat kind of a lot of due to the whole "no wheat" thing), soy, dairy and wheat (and I'm pretty sure about wheat and haven't had any in about a month). She says she has clients discover a food allergy and drop ten pounds in a month. (this is the miracle I was hoping for when I gave up wheat. . .it didn't happen, but I feel better overall and less bloat-y). She also encouraged me to be consistent with my weight training, but also said that a food allergy can make it harder to build muscle mass. . .which I find very intriguing. . .

She said that, overall, I have a very good diet. (hooray! praise!) and was also really interested in my food diary printout. She encouraged me to pay close attention to how I feel in the next few weeks, even without the elimination diet.

So, in about a month, when I get back from the trip, I'll be very cranky for a few weeks (maybe, maybe not. . .)

I hope we can figure it out. . .

Oh, and Wandering, the last time I ate a Wheat Thin, I could have sworn it was a cookie. They are really sweet!

I ate a salad this afternoon and it made me ill (I think my body was freaking out over all the veggies in it. ), so I haven't felt well. Then my hubby comes home with a bouquet of daisies (my favorite!)! It made my day. I really needed that.
I'm still not well. Feeling nauseated. Hope I didn't get something. Going to bed.

Oh and V, that was all very interesting. Especially since I have been forced to learn a lot about food allergies over the last year or so. I'll be interested to hear about the elimination diet and what you find out!
