I started exercising about a month ago to both lose weight and gain energy. I can tell already that the weight is starting to budge, but I am more exhausted than ever. I realize a month is probably not enough time to develop more energy, but at what point did you finally feel more energetic? I have a 1 and 2 year old, so energy is a MUST in my life! :)

Have you changed your eating habits? Try to stay away from processed foods as much as possible and go for fruits, vegitables, lean meat, whole grains, and lean dairy. I know it's hard to do, I struggle myself!

Do you take vitamins? How's your water intake and fiber intake? How much sleep are you getting a night? When your body is tired, do you fight sleeping?

If you are tired a lot, you might want to get checked for anemia and diabetes.

It took me a good 1-2 months to feel energized. Before I used to need a nap everyday just to function but I just find I do not need one anymore. Also, I would check out your calories against your BMR and make sure you are eating above it. Just because MFP says you should eat 1200 does not mean it is a good idea for everyone. I found that as I got more fit and worked out more that my energy level dropped. I needed more fuel to function. Try some changes in your diet too if possible. I try to acheive a 40% Carb, 30% Fat and 30% Protien balance. I wish you luck...I too had 3 kids 3 and under a few years ago and I know how much strength it takes to keep your goals in sight. I did lose 100 lbs. in one year but I did it the 1200 calorie way and it was not good for my body. Take care and I wish you the best.
