New To MFP

Hi,
I'm new to MFP. I joined because my husband recently embarked on a lifestyle change and has lost about 12 lbs. I am also overweight, but I'm not following his strict diet and have not lost any weight. We have eliminated french fries, potatoes of all kinds, pasta, and breads from our diet (which I thought would help), but I cheat sometimes and have macaroni n' cheese. I don't eat regularly, which I hear can be bad for losing weight and when I do eat I don't always make healthy choices.
