Most months I am good, but this month I am really struggling. I'm craving everything, my willpower is ultra low. I've used all my tricks from getting out of the house to shopping for clothes to having none of the food I crave available to me.

The jar of peanut butter is tormenting me right now!!!

Do some exercise and drink a TON of water. This will at least make your stomach full so you are less likely to give into your cravings.

I've read that if you carb up a week or two before you're due, then the PMSing the week of should be a lot more mellow. Try it some time.
My best advice is to eat a ton of healthy fat the week of, whenever you're craving super junky food. I've found that nomming avocados, uncured bacon, and coconut oil really helps curb the desire to just flip out and binge.

I do not have a sweet tooth I have a salt tooth so I do understand. I went grocery shopping yesterday and for the first time in what 11 years I did NOT buy a bag of chips that I liked . I bought 1 for the kids in a flavor I wouldn't eat. Normally I buy 4-5 bags every two weeks.

Instead I bought crackers and a cheese I normally would not eat.. and b/c this site is helping me become more conscious of serving size (though I normally eat small anyways) I know to stop at a certain number...

but as far as sweets go.. 1 box of sugar free white cake.. strawberry glaze in-between cakes and top with fat free cool whip and fresh strawberries.. only 120 calories per slice.. My husband has a major sweet tooth and this cake has helped him. That and I no longer bring cookies into the house lol

Ha ha! I thought I was the only person that buys treats for the kids that I don't like so I wont touch them!!!

It's new for me.. especially since summer vacation starts in 5 days and I'm a stay at home mom at the moment.. I could do better with my diet but I just started one small step at a time.

I swear that stupid week is the hardest for me. I have learned for sure to never try to start a diet when I am PMSing. If I am already on one and making progress, going low-carb that week helps mellow things out. Taking my vites and exercising also make a big diff in reducing specific cravings and increasing willpower.

I try to get hardcore the day my period starts. I have almost no appetite that day anyway, and then I know I have 3 weeks of non-hormonal time to build good habits.
