So I was losing weight on and off since Oct/Nov2011 but in Feb 2012 i decided to be hell serious and do this thing and so far i have lost almost 15 kilos... the bulk of it since February. Ever since then my period has stopped and I dont understand why! i have a high body fat % and i was not over doing the exercise. I dont know if it was a shock to the system and it stopped but I was kinda annoyed only coz i just got it back into a normal deal after losing it for a year before (from being on the pill and other things) I guess girls can understand how emotional you get and when you get your period and its over you feel alot better. well i feel emotional and snappy all the time now and its driving me crazy. i just want to cry over every little thing!!! anyone else had any experience with this?

your hormones may still be out of wack after losing weight. How long have they stopped for?? I would definitely consider going to a doctor to find the real reason, versus just theories you will get on here.

i would make an appointment with GP, before soliciting advice from strangers on MFP about your uterus.

At a guess; men get the same problem with testosterone on prolonged calorie defacits. It's the bodies way of preventing reproduction during starvation.

EDIT: I should learn to stop clicking on these topics

I experienced this and it was awful! After I went to my OB to run tests (which came back perfectly fine) she suggested I take Women's one a day (mutli vitamin) I am no back up and running lol So you are not alone, really smart chocie to go to your doctor cupcake :)
