sorry- another question about tdee

I went to fitness frog and my tdee is 2469 and my bmr is 1795. Isnt tdee based on the idea that you are going to consistantly exercise since you dont eat exercise calories back.? My exercise is spotty. Some days I do but some days i am a slug. I am trying to get at least a little in everyday. MFP has my calories at 1720 to lose 1 pound a week and then I can get exercise calories to eat back. Does that sound right? I have been reading the other posts about it, but it sounds like a lot of heavy exercise is figured into the equations. I have a lot of weight to lose so I still get a lot of calories but I dont want to eat too little because I have a long way to go.
