Zumba

I've noticed a lot of you adding Zumba to your cardio and was wondering if you could recommend a DVD to start with? I've never done it before but it sounds like good fun.
Thanks to anyone who responds!

The seven disk set that they sell on the infomercial and at Zumba.com is good - it is pricey though. My husband got it for me off of Amazon and it was cheaper than getting it directly from the company. It's good for those just starting out because two of the disks are specifically for people who are new to Zumba.

Hi x I do zumba 3-4 times a week. I have never used DVD but the Wii Zumba is meant to be good? I prefer to do it at a class because you get more atmosphere and It is great fun :)

I highly recommend just going to a class! I looked like a fool for my first two classes...okay I'm sure it was longer than that HAHA. You really get into it and the atmosphere really pumps up the work out! no need to fear looking dumb...everyone always does their first classes!

The only DVDs that I know of are the Zumba Exhilirate and then there is an older version. The DVDs can only be purchased online I believe and not in any store.
You might want to Youtube some Zumba basic steps to begin...I have the DVDs and they aren't as fun as an actual Zumba class!
Go to Zumba.com and select find classes put in your zip code or area and see if you can find a class in your neighborhood!! So much more fun!!
Good luck and I hope you really enjoy it! I know I am a Zumba Addict!!! I take 3 or 4 classes per week :-)
  • You can find some of the DVDs on ebay. The Sculpt and Tone DVD is a great workout! I have both DVD sets, but probably do that one the most often. Zumba Fitness 2 for the wii is also great. I have been doing Zumba for 2 years, but just went to my first live class this week and I love it so much more! It is so much fun, I hope you enjoy it!

I had the Zumba on Kinect since I had done a bit of Zumba before, and I found it incredibly confusing for a beginner. Definitely a workout trying to keep up, but crazy confusing. Hence I returned it. But, I'd love to find a DVD that isn't confusing and is fun.
  • I use this one

and I also have a playlist of zumba workouts saved on youtube that I've been doing this week. It's fun to change it up a bit.
