I think this is one of the funniest questions I get these days. Then I started thinking about the weird and quirky motivators I use to stay on track and I'm guess that others have their "secrets."

So what's yours?

So my weird weight loss secret: When I go grocery shopping I go to the refrigerator case first find a block of lard and put it in my cart right next to my purse to remind myself of what I am trying to get rid of next week.

I get asked that all the time! I think it's funny because there really is no secret. I guess I need to think of a better answer than, "working my *kitten* off".

Oh, maybe signing up for a triathlon. That really whipped my workouts into shape and made sure I didn't miss any!

I have a couple. What spurred me to start this was thinking I was having a heart attack, so I just remember that day and that usually does it for me. The other thing is my graduation day next June, I want to be able to wear an amazing dress that day.

Wow, that is scary and some major motivation. Good job taking control!

I keep a new pair of shorts and a shirt hanging on my door. They are about 1-2 sizes too small and I can barely button them. I try the clothes on every day after I shower. I did this with other outfits too. For example, I was a size 8 and hung up a dress that was a size 6, I tried it on everyday until it fit. Then I wore about a medium so the next thing I hung on my door was a bright yellow, fitted tank top that was a US women's small. I tried it on everyday until it fit right. Now my clothes on the door are really short shorts that I have to be in shape to wear lol. They are cute clothes that I picture cute women wearing, so this really motivates me :) (none of these items are expensive, I shop at outlet malls and the clearance racks lol)
