estimating calorie burn...lifting

Do you all think a good estimate is 1 minute per set? Like if I did 5 sets each of three different workout machines for my back on Friday and I use mfp's estimator at 15 minutes is that about what cals I would burn? It took like 45 min for example or a bit less but some is rest etc. What formula do u use if no hrm

I didn't even think about the rests! I'm in the gym for 50 mins but probably only lifting for 30.. thanks for pointing that out :P0

I just select weight training i think from the cardio menu and put the time I spent working out. I usually do 45-60 min sessions so that's what i log in there. I also time my rest at 30-45 seconds between sets and exercises and lift around 75-85% my max0
