Mixing powdered drinks (Bottles/blenders)

What do you use? Mom just bought me a over priced "Blender Ball" bottle from GNC. I was just about to buy a dollar store Gravy Mixer that seemed to do the same trick and looked identical (except for the turbine thing instead of the blender ball). What have you find best/worse?
What do you use for harder shakes? I have a magic bullet and I'm glad I got it for the price and the attachments, but it's drink blending abilities is pretty poor (I have used the grinder as a flour mill and managed to make bread out of it which wasn't to clumpy).

Have never had a problem with my blender bottle but all I use it foe is whey protein and water, anything else I stick to a electric blender.0

I always hated protein shakes when I used a shaker - they were always clumpy, and I'm too lazy to clean an entire blender every day I work out. I bought a hand blender (I think it's a Proctor-Silex, got it on Amazon for about 25 bucks) and it works great. No more clumps and the attachment takes about 30 seconds to wash off every time I'm done using it. Highly recommended.0

Interesting. Thanks for your comment. My sister just bought me one of these yesterday lol. I was like when they heck would I use this instead of a blender lol. All the same I think I'd stick to the bottle or blender over the giant hand held contraption that I'd still have to clean.0 -
Honestly? I use an old plastic peanut butter jar that I have put through the dishwasher. It has a tight fitting lid, room to shake, and if I feel like it, I can throw it away when the shake is gone....0

Great idea. I want something for on the run. I was thinking about chucking something in the container equivalent to a blender ball, or nail polish bead, or gravy mixer turbine thing I just can't figure out what's best to use.0 -
I use my magic bullet (rather a piece of crapola, its the only thing that bloody thing is good for), if i didn't have that I would use one of those blender wands (they are easy to clean just run them under the tap), I may be the odd one but I like my shakes a little frothy, cause I mix it with milk so it just tastes like a milkshake LOL, I'm not sure If I'd get the same smoothness with a shaker, plus with a blender or wand you can add banana, frozen berries, spinach etc and make it a smoothie!0

I really like these shaker bottles. I've seen them at Whole Foods for about $7-8 bucks as well

Magic Bullet.....because you only have to clean the drinking cup.0

I have a magic bullet as well, and agree that it's a piece of crapola. I don't find it good for mixing frozen drinks at all...it just blends the bottom. What do you mean by "wand"? A actual electronic blender whisk?0 -
I love my blender bottle. I like it because the top snaps tight so I don't get protein spatter everywhere. I have a Ninja and sometimes use that if I am making a protein smoothie.0

Are the blender bottles any better then shaking a regular bottle lol.
So from the blender thread someone put up is this the general flow:
Vitamax>ninja>magic bullet piece of crap?0
