Low carb, anyone?

Is there a way to adapt the weight loss plan to reflect a low-carb approach, rather than high carb, low fat? Thanks, and I love this site!

    Absolutely.

My Home --> Goals --> Change Goals --> Custom

You can change your percentages in there. My percentages are currently 5% carb, 35% fat and 60% protein.

    Hope this helps! :flowerforyou:
  • Thank you! I'll have to play around with it to figure out how to program in the Atkins Diet.

Talk to leanlioness. She's the Low Carb guru on here.
  • Allen.....I'm new here and I have figured out how to customize my carbs because I'm a low carber too....with the percentages you use....what are the calories you're using. I just want to make sure I'm doing this right! Thanks!! :flowerforyou:

I'm on 1200/day, but I give myself a leeway of +200, so I aim for anywhere in between 1200 - 1400. With this low carb thing its been kind of hard to even hit 1200 though (I've been having to eat a LOT). These are the numbers associated with my percentages:

    Carbs: 15 (5%) *I actually have 20/day, but MFP does from 5% - 10% which would be 30g carbs/day
    Fat: 60g (35%)
    Protein: 180g (60%)
    Sugar: 15g

    Hope that helps!
  • Allen -- thanks that helps. I set my calories at 1000/day in order to get 25 carbs to calculate right. I may have to tweak that a little though. Thanks, again!
